Role Overview:
TGIS Aviation needs a proactive and determined Marketing Manager with a keen interest in the Aviation industry, to lead and deliver the marketing activity to support its ambitious growth objectives. This person must have excellent relationship-building and content-writing skills.
This is an exciting opportunity as the successful candidate will play a key role in the growth of the business. The role requires the Marketing Manager to work closely with the Directors and Consultants whilst acknowledging that their time is limited. This role requires someone that can work independently and get the job done and can identify opportunities as they go.
The role can be flexible with the expectation that at least one day per week is spent in the office at Ednaston Park in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. There is also an expectation that the successful candidate will also support the Directors with some ongoing and ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Marketing Strategy for TGIS Aviation which includes:
- Developing key relationships with the Aviation Media
- Writing and Pitching content to the media and trade press
- Writing monthly email newsletters
- Set up, growth and management of a CRM and segmented email lists
- Writing and publishing content on the company LinkedIn account as well as specific content on the directors’ LinkedIn Profiles
- Using LinkedIn and Twitter to start conversations with key people in the industry
- Attending industry events with the directors and building relationships with key contacts
- Management of leads and enquiries so that they are responded to by the correct person and followed up at each stage of the sales journey
- Website management and development including creating high-converting landing pages and lead gen forms
- Writing and publishing blogs, case studies and thought leadership
- Drawing stories and expertise out of the directors and consultants and turning this into a re-usable content library
- Interview customers for case studies and insights
- Creating a monthly report for the board meeting to show progress, results, learning and opportunities.
Administrative Support will include:
- Booking flights and accommodation for the directors
- Updating customer records and information
- General Office Management
- Keeping track of inbound leads and enquiries
The successful candidate will have:
- A keen interest in the aviation industry
- A proactive work ethic

- Great copywriting and content creation skills
- Great storytelling skills
- Great time management skills
Requirements:
- Attend the office at least one day per week
- 37.5 hours per week working hours
- Work independently whilst gathering information, knowledge, and stories from the team
Expectations:
- Deliver the marketing strategy and plan for TGIS Aviation
- Chase up information from the directors
- Proactively develop customer relationships
- Proactively develop and nurture media and press relationships
- Support the directors with administrative tasks
- Manage and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of the CRM system and data within
- Keep up to date with LinkedIn so that the social media presence of the company is current and engaging.
